I'm a french user of Visual Objects, or I should say I was.

I teach Computer Sciences and Languages in a french college, the Lycée Astier , and the need for new abilities in my applications has driven me to C# and the .Net framework. I'm still waiting for Vulcan, but currently I don't even have VO installed on my computer !...Err...VO is back...still lovin' it !!

If you are searching for samples/libraries/etc...., go to the Download section and search....

The V2.5 and V2.6 were really great. More robust, and with more and more 3rd party tools; V2.7 is cool too. The V2.8 should be available during 2006, take a look at Grafxsoft via links items.

New FabPaint lib 2.0.0.1 for VO2.7 : correcting errors with jpg files, more EXIF functions, ...

You can also search for Sandy Hood's book, "Exploring VO 2.5", that is really great to start with VO. Nothing like that in french, may be one day, if I feel as a writter...

You will find here my tools for CA-Visual Objects V1.0/2.0/2.5, and most comes with full source. They are free, sometimes comes with help files ( generated with my tool FabAutoDoc ).

If you find that your applications files are too big, please try UPX. This packer can compress your EXE or DLL and uncompress at run-time !
